Wedding Hair

In my last post, I talked about all these fun wedding things I was going to do this week.  Well, I got sick instead.  Boo.   I did still go to the wedding expo last Sunday with a friend, and it was a lot of fun.  I drank free champagne, ate free cupcakes, got a free massage, and got my makeup and hair done for free, too!

Getting my hair done leads me to this post.  My BM's mother has been my hairdresser since I met her daughter my freshman year of college in 2003.  She was the first person who ever highlighted my hair (other than myself) and I have only gone to get a cut at one other place the whole time I have known her (I am actually headed to see her today!).  I trust her, and by this point she knows my style and my hair.  She will be doing my hair for the big day!

I have plenty of time to narrow things down as far as hair goes, but I definitely have some ideas in mind.  I know the style of dress that I am looking to buy will call for an updo.  Plus, how many other times in my life am I going to be able to have my hair up like that?  I can guarantee I won't be attending a prom anytime soon!  I also have strait hair, and a lot of it, and I don't think that it would handle curls well without falling.  Anyway, I got my hair done my a local salon while at the bridal show.  There were some things I liked about it, like that all of my hair was up and pulled back strait with some volume at the top.  There were some things I didn't like, I could have used MORE volume on the top and I wasn't crazy about the mass of curls in the back, I have a sleeker style in mind.

I don't remember where I got this picture from, so I am going to be a bad blogger and not have a source (ooooh, score! I saved the picture with the source as the name...so smart!).  The styles here (expect the random side one with the hair flower) are similar to what I have in mind.  Sleek, classic, and full (I have a serious thing for big hair, but I will save that for another time!).

  2. Beautiful hairdos! having a bunch of somewhat similar options like that is great...that's what I had and my hairdresser took ideas from a few of them and made a masterpiece! (or at least I thought so, haha)
